Applied Learning (ApL)
- Students will be nominated to take ApL courses as one elective subject.
- The duration of each ApL course is 180 contact hours, generally extending
over two academic years in Secondary 5 and 6
- According to the learning needs of students, both Mode 1 and Mode 2 ApL Courses will be offered.
Mode 1:
Courses take place at the venues of course providers and are
taught by the staff of course providers.
Mode 2:
Courses take place mainly in schools and are mainly taught by the
staff of course providers.
- There is no public examination for ApL courses.
Assessments of student
performance are undertaken
by course providers.
- Students who have successfully completed their enrolled ApL courses will have their ApL subjects designated as ”„Attained”¦ or ”„Attained with Distinction”¦ on the HKDSE certificate.
