Our Students Shined in HKU Museum's Youth Curator Programme!
Date: 13/06/2025
We are delighted to announce that three of our students – Wong Mei Yiu (4B), Lee Wing Yee (4C) and Lo Yu Tung (4C) participated in the 'UCurating Labs (UCL): Youth Museum Professionals Training Programme' organized by the University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG) of The University of Hong Kong from 9 January to 24 May 2025.
This comprehensive programme cultivated students' observation skills in art appreciation through hands-on artistic creation, explored artists' creative processes, and introduced curatorial thinking. Students learned to apply information technology in online exhibition design, expanded their art-specific vocabulary bank, mastered visual literacy techniques, and developed professional docent skills for museum interpretation. The experience significantly enhanced students' language proficiency and transferable skills, demonstrated their marked improvement in art terminology usage, refined their public communication abilities as docents, and strengthened their critical thinking skills, creativity, and digital literacy through practical curation projects.
We are immensely proud of our students' dedication and accomplishments. Their enriched perspectives and skills will undoubtedly enhance the atmosphere of greater art appreciation within our school.
